March Forum: Infectious Diseases

Join us for our March forum, where we will be exploring infectious diseases in the pre-hospital and emergency setting. We have two fantastic talks lined up for the evening, starting at 19:00:

Our first speakers will be Darrel Singh and Joanne Sheath, both High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) instructors from the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). HART paramedics are specially trained to provide emergency medical care in high-risk environments, including incidents involving hazardous materials, chemical and biological threats, and infectious diseases. They work alongside emergency services in challenging conditions, ensuring patient care while maintaining responder safety.

Our second speaker is Erin, a Paediatric trainee in North East London who has trained in Oxford, London, and Glasgow. She holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from Nagasaki University, Japan, and attended the Philippines Tropical Medicine Course 2024. Erin is interested in parasitology, paediatric emergency care, universal access to healthcare, and mountains (not in that order).

We hope you can join us either online or in person at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
